• Domain whois with webhoster

i just checked my domain whois for uk domains I have and the information on the whois is the hosting company - is this normal? Most of my domain are with Godaddy so the whois info is in my name, I do prefer it that way. Any ideas? Thanks

• missed chance

Just doing a search on a few domain names and noticed that lansdowneroad.ie (http://www.lansdowneroad.ie) was only registered last week! Looks like an individual registered it rather than the IRFU and if so isn't this is major blunder by Irish Rugby? Everyone knows that stadium as lansdowne road, even if they do sell naming rights to it! Question is though are they going to want it when the new stadium is finished? Would they be forced to buy it off the registered owner or would the owner have it give it up? There is no website there yet. Might be interesting!

• changing domains URL for international sites

Hi again, sry, i seem to be asking more qtns than helping people lately.. We've recently set up an irish site with the end of the domain being .com/ie but we are now looking into setting up a uk link and a us link. Our initial plan was to use the same site which is .com but then add the following url endings: .com/uk and .com/us but my fear is that google will think we're creating false backlinks or buying domains linking ot the same site. The problem is it would be a waste of time creating 3 different sites as the only difference would be the currency and the prices. Has anyone overcome this problem before and is the a way around it? Hi, I have setup a new Irish community website – Irish Towns Online - Irish Weather & News, Maps of towns in Ireland - mytown.ie (http://www.mytown.ie) As part of this website I am offering businesses the opportunity to take a page out on the website, eg: Anthony Daly Kitchens - mytown.ie (http://www.mytown.ie/company21320,anthony-daly-kitchens,town5.html) This is perfect for businesses that do not have a web presence and cannot afford the cost and work involved in getting their own website. I have already signed up a number of clients and some have asked about the ability to have their own .com or .ie domain name. So using the above example my client would like to have the domain www.anthony-daly-kitchens.com (http://www.anthony-daly-kitchens.com), and redirect it to his page on mytown.ie. He would also like to be able to send and receive emails from an info@anthony-daly-kitchens.com email address. I have found some hosting/domain name companies that offer this service, eg. Register your Irish domain names with Always Amber (http://www.alwaysamber.ie) but I am not sure how credible they are and how it works. Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Looks like ipwalk.com may have gone dot.bomb. Only getting a blank page for their homepage and others. It might be a mod_rewrite problem but they seemed to have had a lot of difficulty in following stats for the last year or so. Regards...jmcc
