Hey, I'm looking for a tidy little mysql server that I can run on windows xp, without having to run it as a service or have its files scattered all over the drive/registry.
I've got Apache with php installed as a module, and it's great... it really doesn't give a sht what I do with windows, or anything outside its directory.
As long as its path stays the same it survives OS reinstalls and it's just there to run as an .exe when I want it.
I'd like to have a mysql server that's as hardy and self-contained.
Or failing that, a WAMP suite that I could run off a usb thumb drive.
Any suggestions?
