Well the last month for me has been a bit of a daze between one thing and another its been all go. I’ve no had as much time as I would have liked to have to spend on SEO for my website taskdrop also known as my geansai gorm entry to Damien Mulleys SEO competition. Cormacs entry seems to be holding its own as well with little or no link building so far Geansaí Gorm is his site if you fancy brushing up on a bit of irish or getting out the dictionary like me.
This week so far I’ve gone from a mocked up to fully ? functional website for OSS Bar Camp and I must say I’m quite happy with it. Its drawing from the Ubuntu colour scheme but hell so is I accept Cookies (oh wait no its not) If you’re going to be in Dublin on March 28th why not head into the barcamp and meet a few people and hear a few talks. I’m going to be trying to give one. I’m not however a good public speaker so maybe a quieter affair might be called for … or some Dutch (Czech) courage as I’m liking to call it.
I’m working on a new forbairt.ie website which is just going to take on a just do it and forget about how it looks too much. Let my clients sites hopefully speak for themselves and speak in a good way. With a new Dust Solutions website going live this week .. and the Galway City Museum website going live tomorrow hopefully its a hectic week. (also launched an Ulster Scots website … working on a new theme for a Library … and as always supporting existing customers … hopefully pretty well).
Anyways thats whats been happening in my life the last while work work work … and I’m kinda loving it.
Its a good feeling having happy customers .. ( TaskDrop my new tool really does seem to be helping me get on top of things … though of course I’ve to clear some major workload first before I reap the benefits. I’ve 165 items in my todo list … completed and new … not sure how many currently but my time is laid out over the next little while on what I’ve got to do and hopefully it means I don’t forget things and let customers down through being a headless chicken)
The next week I guess I’m going to get busy trying to do a small bit of SEO for Geansai Gorm and see i I can’t clinch the title. I don’t however want to go polluting directories and so on too much as we’re currently seeing a bit of that and while its part of the game in some respect it lessens the tone of the competition for me. There aren’t exactly any big players in it and I think it may end up giving the public a false sense of worth in the overall winner .. (still of course hoping it’ll be me)
