Description:
www.salesforce.com is one of the most visited B2B websites in the World. To continue to support massive growth in the EMEA business, we are now moving the International sites into a new realm with localized variations of the main English language website in additional languages and covering new products and services. Few companies make this level of investment in their web presence outside the .com site—in EMEA we need to capitalize on the investment and make sure we extract every drop of potential for the business.

Our web infrastructure gives us the opportunity to use the sites to drive business with EMEA specific requirements. In order to support the increasing demand for our products and services within the region, salesforce.com is looking to hire a strong, highly motivated web developer within the Interactive Marketing team based in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the marketing team on the production and delivery of local, integrated online marketing campaigns in all EMEA countries using external suppliers where necessary.
  • Build and maintain all required content on the EMEA websites—maintain the OpenCMS environment for assigned sites.
  • Create and design cohesive graphical elements for web, email, presentations, and print in multiple languages - translate business messages into persuasive graphical designs.
  • Design and build additional functionality, tools and lead generation properties for the European business.
  • Participate in the design and production of direct marketing and customer email communications.
  • Design, build and maintain campaign micro sites – independent of the US infrastructure for lead generation.
  • Work with the Global Localization Manager to ensure all content is appropriately translated and localized for all required EMEA websites.
  • Work as integral member of Interactive Marketing team on the deployment, maintenance and expansion of the EMEA web presence.


Required Skills:
  • Expert in HTML, DHTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript
  • Familiar with at least one well known CMS – Joomla, Drupal, OpenCMS, etc
  • Familiar with Photoshop, Fireworks, etc
  • A history of designing, developing and maintaining several live websites for personal or business use.
  • Ability to work well in a small geographically dispersed team
  • Ability to work against tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Work on multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated, able to “turn on a dime”, think through problems to come up with innovative solutions and deliver against very tight deadlines.
  • Solid and dependable – accuracy being number 1 priority
  • Logical, organized with an unwavering attention to detail. Strong problem solving/analytical abilities
  • Must thrive on teamwork & be able to circumnavigate obstacles with creative technical solutions.
  • Willing to receive direction and guidance within a team environment and to adopt and develop best practices

Desired Skills:
  • Strong Flash skills, experience of building flash assets for international deployment, external XML etc
  • Familiar with Adobe AIR, and Adobe Flex development
  • A history of designing, developing and maintaining web applications
  • Familiar with object-oriented design and programming
  • Graphic design background a big plus
  • Experience with large-scale environments, a JSP model in particular
  • Familiar with API/Web Services (SOAP/REST) concepts
  • Knowledge of salesforce.com CRM
  • EMEA experience living abroad and a second language a distinct advantage.
