Hello, I need somebody's help. I have a site hosted at the moment on a VPS, it is sluggish and unresponsive.
Here is the spec that I have been given by the template site developers. I have looked around and found quotes from €35 to $175 for the basic VPS package.
Can somebody advise on a cost effective responsive solution for the site.

Technical Spec:-
The site requires at least 45 Mb of web-space and 500K of MySQL DB space for installation. Your host must have a Linux/Unix (RedHat, Debian, FreeBSD, Mandrake, etc.) or Windows OS, Apache Web Server, PHP 4.1 and higher (Apache and CGI modules), MySQL 4.1 and higher, GD lib 1.8 and higher, Cron Jobs, ionCube Optimizer for the license files, open IN and OUT TCP connection on ports 999, 1982 and 1983.
