Hi All,
I'm currently working as an intern for Circa magazine (
CIRCA Art Magazine - Home page) as the epilogue to the Web Design course I took part in with FAS. I had gone there with the intention of redesigning the site but it seems the editor is more keen for me to look into functionality and scripting (inter linking between realated articles, internal search engine, top most viewed, etc.).
It's safe to say that currently I know about as much about scripting as I do about under arm deoderant for snakes.
I'm currently thinking that the best option for takling this would be to apply for a one off grant to the arts council to pay for me and a part-time web expert to work on this project over three months or so, with me doing the vast ammount of leg work and the expert coming once a week (at first less so the more I learn) to oversee what I'm doing, give advice, point out mistakes etc.
So what I want to ask is how...
1. How viable is this?
2. How much could this end up costing?
3. Is there any company/person in particular I should go to, perhaps one which would have a vested interest in the arts?
My website (which will be getting a severe redesign of it's own quite soon) is
index if you're interested.
Thanks.:)
