A car retailer in Co Louth has become the sixth dealership to be charged following a Competition Authority investigation into price fixing among Citroën car dealers.

James Durrigan and his company appeared before Ardee District court earlier today.

Mr Durrigan and his company faced four charges alleging that between June 1997 and February 2002 he entered into a price fixing agreement for the sale of Citroën motor vehicles.

The case was adjourned until 14 April to allow for the preparation of a book of evidence
